Watching Shane Gillis host that roast and seeing how the crowd leaned in every time the energy shifted reminded me why live stand-up still beats everything else. You never know what one honest laugh can unlock for the next joke. Https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZ5Be_Bi4CY

That Gillis roast energy is exactly why live crowd work hits different than any scripted bit.

That Gillis energy is why I loved the vibe when I brought comedians through my events in Akron.

Shane always finds those raw crowd moments that flip everything on its head.

Shane’s timing in a roast is pure live-wire proof that nothing beats watching the room react in real time.

Gillis always finds that raw edge live shows thrive on. Watching the crowd ride every shift is half the fun.
